bismillah

Awa lam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena kanoo min qablihim kanoo hum ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharan fee alardi faakhathahumu Allahu bithunoobihim wama kana lahum mina Allahi min waq(in)

Have they not travelled about in the land so that they may see how has been the end of those who were before them? They were mightier than these in strength and in the traces in the land. Yet Allaah-SWT seized them for their sins, and from Allaah-SWT they had none as protector.

(40:21)

Thalika biannahum kanat tateehim rusuluhum bi(a)lbayyinati fakafaroo faakhathahumu Allahu innahu qawiyyun shadeedu alAAiqab(i)

This, because their Messengers-AS used to bring them evidences, but they disbelieved: So Allaah-SWT seized them. Verily He-SWT is Strong, Severe in chastisement.

(40:22)

Walaqad arsalna moosa biayatina wasultanin mubeen(in)

And assuredly We-SWT sent Musa-AS with Our-SWT Signs; and a clear authority.

(40:23)

Ila firAAawna wahamana waqaroona faqaloo sahirun kaththab(un)

To the Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun; but they said: A magician, a liar.

(40:24)

Falamma jaahum bi(a)lhaqqi min AAindina qaloo oqtuloo abnaa allatheena amanoo maAAahu wa(i)stahyoo nisaahum wama kaydu alkafireena illa fee dalal(in)

And when he came to them with truth from before Us-SWT they said: Slay the sons of those who have believed with him and let their women live. And the plot of the infidels was nothing but vain.

(40:25)

Waqala firAAawnu tharoonee aqtul moosa walyadAAu rabbahu innee akhafu an yubaddila deenakum aw an yuthhira fee alardi alfasad(a)

And said the Pharaoh: Leave me alone, that I may slay Musa-AS and let him call upon his Rabb-SWT . I fear that he may change your religion or that he may cause disruption in the land.

(40:26)

Waqala moosa innee AAuthtu birabbee warabbikum min kulli mutakabbirin la yuminu biyawmi alhisab(i)

And said Musa: Verily I seek refuge in my Rabb-SWT and your Rabb-SWT from every stiff-necked person who does not believe in the Day of Reckoning.

(40:27)

In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

The infidels being frequent travelers must have certainly witnessed the remains of the preceding nations who had denied. They were far more powerful than them as borne out by their citadels and ruins. Yet their grandeur and might availed them naught and when their sins invoked Allah-SWT's punishment, they found no helper or friend to save them. This was in sequel to their denial, as Allah-SWT's Messengers-AS had been raised with clear evidences but they had refused to accept the Message, for instance Prophet Musa-AS sent unto the nation of the Pharaoh, Haman and Qarun with clear proofs and miracles. Their response was in the negative. They readily rejected the miracles calling these magic and declared the evidences to Allah-SWT's Unity and Prophet Musa-AS' s Prophet hood as fabrications. Ever since the astrologers had prophesied the advent of a Prophet-AS the Pharaoh had ordered the execution of every male infant born to Bani Israil , sparing the females. Yet his planning failed miserably, the Prophet-AS was born and Allah-SWT took the service of bringing him up from the Pharaoh himself. And when finally Prophet Musa-AS conveyed Allah-SWT s Message, he was outraged and threatened to kill him under the very sight of his Rabb-SWT .

The Wicked agree on Evil and Label the Opponent as Mischievious

The Pharaoh feared that the Prophet-AS would change the religion of his people and create mischief, which in fact lies in denial and evilness, and is the same as oppression in all its forms, while the invitation to faith promotes peace and harmony. The Prophet-AS, in turn, sought the protection of his as well as the Pharaoh's Rabb-SWT against every arrogant denier of the Day of Judgement, fully conscious of the fact that the Pharaoh could do him no harm without His-SWT consent.
